This policy explains how ZeroDate ("we", "our", "us") handles information collected through our website, waitlist, and upcoming mobile app. We designed it to complement our commitment to intentional, safe dating experiences.
1. Information We Collect
- Waitlist details: email address and optional city when you join via the landing page.
- Account data: profile basics, preferences, and media you provide in the app.
- Usage insights: interactions with matches, drop cadence participation, messaging timers, and support touchpoints.
- Device & diagnostics: technical metadata such as approximate location, device type, and app performance signals.
- Payment details processed by our billing partners if you opt into Pay What You Want VIP membership.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver core product features, including the 5 PM drop, messaging timers, and safety tooling.
- Improve recommendations, measure feature adoption, and personalize onboarding.
- Send transactional messages, launch updates, and limited marketing aligned with your preferences.
- Detect, investigate, and mitigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
- Process Pay What You Want contributions and manage VIP entitlements.
3. Sharing & Disclosure
- Service providers who support infrastructure, analytics, moderation, or communications under strict confidentiality.
- Law enforcement or regulatory requests when required by applicable laws.
- Aggregated or de-identified insights that cannot be tied back to individual people.
4. Data Retention
- Waitlist submissions are stored until launch campaigns are completed or you request removal.
- Active account data remains while you maintain a ZeroDate profile.
- Backups and safety logs may persist for additional time to comply with legal and security obligations.
5. Your Choices
- Access, update, or delete your profile details in-app once accounts are available.
- Request removal from the waitlist or marketing emails via the unsubscribe link or by emailing privacy@zerodate.app.
- Manage notification preferences and adjust or cancel VIP pricing inside app settings.
6. Minors
- ZeroDate is restricted to adults 18+.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information.
7. Changes
- We may update this policy as we launch new features or expand to additional regions.
- Material updates will be shared via email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
